Kärcher Pressure Washer Parts & Compatibility
Kärcher replacement parts require generation-aware matching. Traditional K-series bayonet systems, hose-reel variants, new 2026 FC universal models, Performance Series and gas/M22 machines do not share one universal hose-and-gun path.
Kärcher parts: determine the connection generation first
Before choosing a hose or gun, classify the washer as traditional proprietary K-series, 2026 K2-K5 FC universal, Performance Series universal, or gas/M22. Then use the model-specific manufacturer chart.
If you do not yet know the family, start with the Kärcher pressure-washer guide.
Key Kärcher spray-gun paths
| Part / family | Published fit | Connection / rating | Important exclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.642-889.0 Bayonet Spray Gun | Many modern K2-K5 electric models | Kärcher proprietary hose connection + bayonet accessory connection; 2000 PSI | Use the model chart; proprietary and not for other brands. |
| 2.644-343.0 Bayonet Gun + Hose Kit | K2-K5 electric models in published chart | Kärcher-specific Quick Connect hose + bayonet wand; 2000 PSI | Not hose-reel models, K1700-K2000-style universal models, gas washers or other brands. |
| VersaGRIP | Kärcher and other compatible QC/M22 machines | Up to 4000 PSI | Requires compatible standard connection; not a direct proprietary-bayonet substitute. |
| Standard M22 gun | Most pressure washers with compatible M22 | Up to 4000 PSI | M22 subtype/installed fittings still need verification. |
High-pressure hoses: use Kärcher's model matrix
Kärcher publishes a dedicated hose finder that maps specific washer models to exact replacement and extension hose kits. The matrix includes many legacy K2/K3/K4/K5 models and distinguishes replacement kits from extension hoses.
This is the preferred evidence path because a label such as “K3 hose” can hide differences in generation or hose-reel configuration. Use the exact model row, then confirm part number, pressure rating and connection before purchase.
Universal accessories after the 2026 connection change
New 2026 K2-K5 FC models move into a universal pressure-washer connection path. Kärcher's eco!Booster 3000 uses a universal 1/4-inch quick connect and is documented for compatible 1700–3000 PSI models including K2 Horizontal (M22), K3 Horizontal FC, K4 FC, K5 FC and Performance Series machines. The same page explicitly says it is not compatible with 2025-and-earlier K1-K5 models.
That source is a useful generation boundary: do not back-apply 2026 universal-accessory compatibility to older K-series machines.
Gas-model nozzles and M22 accessories
Kärcher's current gas pressure washers use M22 threaded accessory connections in the published comparison. Its 5-piece quick-connect nozzle kit contains 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° and soap tips, is rated to 4000 PSI, and uses nozzle orifice size 035 for compatible machines.
Even with standard-looking components, use the nozzle calculator and machine manual to verify that the nozzle orifice matches the washer's actual GPM and target pressure.
Do not collapse proprietary and standard Kärcher systems into one adapter chart
A parts page is useful only if it keeps the boundaries visible. Traditional K-series bayonet, hose-reel variants, newer FC universal models, Performance Series and gas/M22 machines can require different replacement paths. If the exact model is absent from a manufacturer chart, mark the result unknown and verify with Kärcher support.

Frequently asked questions
What Karcher spray gun fits K2 to K5 pressure washers?
Kärcher 2.642-889.0 is documented for many modern K2-K5 electric pressure washers, but not every generation/configuration. Kärcher publishes a model compatibility chart; use that chart rather than the K2-K5 label alone.
Why does the Karcher bayonet gun and hose kit exclude hose-reel models?
The current 2.644-343.0 kit is explicitly documented for K2-K5 electric washers except models with hose reels. Hose-reel machines use a different hose/gun connection path, so the manufacturer excludes them.
Are Karcher Performance Series hoses the same as older K-series hoses?
Do not assume so. Kärcher lists K1700-K2300PS Performance Series accessory connections as universal, while many traditional K1-K5 models use proprietary Kärcher systems. Use the hose compatibility finder for the exact model.
Can I adapt an older Karcher K5 to 1/4-inch quick connect?
Only with a documented compatible adapter/gun/wand path. A universal 1/4-inch accessory does not plug directly into the proprietary bayonet interface on 2025-and-earlier K1-K5 machines.
Do Karcher gas pressure washers use standard nozzles?
Current U.S. gas models in Kärcher’s comparison use M22 threaded accessory connections and quick-connect spray nozzles. Kärcher’s 5-piece nozzle kit is documented for residential gas washers with compatible 1/4-inch quick-connect wands and uses orifice size 035.
Where can I find the correct Karcher replacement hose?
Use Kärcher’s official pressure-washer hose finder, which maps specific model names to exact replacement and extension hose part numbers. This is more reliable than shopping by hose length alone.
