DEWALT Pressure Washer Parts & Compatibility
DEWALT publishes exact connection and rating data for several professional pressure-washer accessories. Use those documented M22 and quick-connect interfaces carefully, and keep compact/cordless machines separate when their washer-side connections are not established.
DEWALT parts: trace the complete connection path
Identify machine outlet → high-pressure hose → gun inlet → gun outlet → wand → nozzle/attachment. Then verify pressure, flow and temperature limits at every step.
If you need the machine-family context first, start at the DEWALT pressure-washer hub.
DEWALT publishes a strong connection matrix for professional accessories
| Part / model | Type | Published interface / limit | Compatibility status |
|---|---|---|---|
| DXPA34SC | 18-in surface cleaner | Standard 1/4-in QC wand; most gas pressure washers up to 3400 PSI; cold water | VERIFIED — DOCUMENTED INTERFACE MATCH when all conditions match. |
| DXPA34ST | 5 spray tips | Standard 1/4-in QC; orifice 3.0; most gas washers up to 3400 PSI | VERIFIED — DOCUMENTED INTERFACE MATCH when nozzle size/rating is appropriate. |
| DXPA45SG | 4500-PSI spray gun | M22 or QC high-pressure hose (QC adaptor included); standard M22 wand; cold water | VERIFIED — DOCUMENTED INTERFACE MATCH for a standard-interface system within rating. |
| DXPA31SW | 31-in spray wand | Standard M22 gun connection → 1/4-in QC accessory/nozzle output; up to 4500 PSI; cold water | VERIFIED — DOCUMENTED INTERFACE MATCH when the gun outlet is standard M22. |
| DXPA50PH | 3/8-in x 50-ft hose | 3/8-in one-piece QC socket/plug; 5000 PSI; 140°F max | VERIFIED — DOCUMENTED INTERFACE MATCH only for a compatible 3/8-in QC system. |
| DXPW4440 pump | AAA triplex on machine | Machine page documents AAA triplex + Honda GX390 | UNKNOWN replacement fit until exact pump/part and mechanical dimensions are verified. |
Gun → wand → nozzle can be mapped when the interfaces are documented
DXPA45SG is documented with standard M22 wand connection and M22 or QC high-pressure hose input. DXPA31SW then maps a standard M22 gun connection to a 1/4-in quick-connect nozzle/accessory end. That creates a documented standard-interface path—but only if the existing high-pressure hose/machine side also matches and every component is within its pressure, flow and temperature limits.
Professional 3/8-in hose does not imply a compact DEWALT washer uses 3/8-in QC
DXPA50PH is a 3/8-in x 50-ft professional hose with 3/8-in one-piece QC socket/plug fittings, a 5000-PSI rating and 140°F maximum temperature. DXPW4440 and DXPW3000E also document 3/8-in high-pressure hoses with QC fittings.
Those records support a professional 3/8-in path. They do not prove that DWPW2100/DWPW3000 or DCPW cordless machines expose the same machine outlet or gun inlet. Use the exact manual/exploded diagram for those machines.
Surface-cleaner and nozzle fit still depends on flow and orifice
DXPA34SC uses a standard 1/4-in quick-connect wand and is published for most gas pressure washers up to 3400 PSI, cold water only. DXPA34ST also uses 1/4-in QC but specifies an orifice size of 3.0. A connector match does not replace the nozzle-size calculation or a surface cleaner's flow requirement.
DEWALT pump identity varies by model
Current DEWALT machine pages identify different pump classes: DXPW4440 uses an AAA industrial triplex pump; DXPW60604 is listed with a CAT triplex pump; DXPW3400PRNB-S uses an axial-cam pump. A replacement-pump listing needs the exact machine and pump part, not merely “DEWALT 3400/3800/4400 PSI.”
“Universal” means a documented standard interface—not every DEWALT model
DEWALT uses “universal” on several accessories that explicitly define standard M22 or quick-connect interfaces. That language should be read together with the stated interface and operating limit. A compact or cordless machine with a different proprietary or model-specific connection is outside that proof until the interface is verified.

Frequently asked questions
What DEWALT pressure washer gun fits a standard M22 wand?
DXPA45SG is documented for standard M22 spray-wand connections and for M22 or QC high-pressure hose connections with the included QC adaptor. The pressure washer still has to provide a compatible hose/machine path and remain within the gun’s cold-water 4500-PSI rating.
What connection does the DEWALT DXPA31SW wand use?
DEWALT documents a standard M22 connection at the spray-gun side and a 1/4-in quick-connect connection for spray tips and accessories at the output. It is rated up to 4500 PSI for cold water.
Does DXPA50PH fit every DEWALT pressure washer?
No. It is a professional 3/8-in x 50-ft hose with 3/8-in quick-connect socket/plug fittings, a 5000-PSI rating and 140°F maximum temperature. The exact machine outlet and gun inlet must match that 3/8-in QC path.
Can DXPA34SC be used on a DEWALT electric pressure washer?
The current DEWALT page describes DXPA34SC as a standard 1/4-in-QC surface cleaner for most gas pressure washers up to 3400 PSI, cold water only. Do not extend that gas-oriented manufacturer statement to a compact electric model without confirming the machine flow and the manufacturer’s intended use.
Why does nozzle orifice matter if a DEWALT tip fits the 1/4-in quick connect?
The connector only establishes physical interface. Nozzle orifice controls the pressure/flow relationship. DXPA34ST, for example, is specifically an orifice-size-3.0 set rated to 3400 PSI; use the nozzle calculator for the machine’s actual flow/target pressure.
Can I replace a DEWALT DXPW pump with any triplex pump?
No. Current DEWALT models use different pump brands and configurations. Verify the exact pump/part, shaft and mount, RPM/power, ports, unloader configuration and frame clearance before declaring a replacement compatible.
